Tips and care to maintain beauty and luster of your pearls:
Pearls have a compact crystalline structure that makes them durable heirloom jewelry that can be passed on for generations. That said, pearls are soft, and in order to maintain their lustrous beauty proper care is essential. Here are a few tips and things to avoid when caring for pearls: • Wipe gently with a warm damp towel before storing pearls to remove body oils and perspiration which can damage a pearls color.
• Store in a separate pouch to prevent scratching the pearls surface against metal or harder stones. A satin pouch, linen handkerchief or soft tissue works well.
• Always remove your pearl prior to exercise to protect from perspiration.
• Avoid contact with these substances: vinegar, ammonia, and chlorine bleach. Many commercial jewelry cleaners contain ammonia!
• Avoid contact with inks, hairspray, and perfumes.
• Avoid storing pearls in an excessively dry place as it can cause the nacre of a pearl to crack over time.

Your sterling silver Kera™ bead products are specially treated to give them a unique finish. Over time, they will tarnish, as sterling silver does. For cleaning, we recommend that you use a polishing cloth or a combination of water, mild dish detergent and a soft toothbrush. Glass beads may be wiped with a gentle cloth, dampened with water. For a more extensive cleaning, contact your professional jeweler.

Avoid exposing your Kera™ jewelry to harsh chemicals and minerals, which can be found in things like hot tubs, swimming pools, body lotions, perfumes, hair products, makeup, and household cleaning products. These may alter the appearance of the jewelry.
